Back again four days later to point out that we changed the site so NOTHING is underlined now. Consistent feedback indicated it wasn’t working aesthetically, so now hypertext is in red and is underlined if you pass a cursor over it. I think it looks good now, but clearly I am not a good barometer regarding the intersection of design and first instincts…..

Hi Courtney,

Check it out: Hyperlinks are only underlined in the body of blog posts now. The sidebar is underline free! Thanks for your feedback and thanks to Graham F Scott for real-time webs design. I’m happy that people A) care and B) this site is looking better all the time.

Hey Courtney,

Thanks. No either am I. The problem was if we didn’t underline hyperlinks, then the hyperlinked text would have to be assigned a colour other than black, which looked really “off” in the sidebar column. Lesser of many evils. Glad you are following along!

Looks good, but not a fan of unnecessary underlining. More of a personal thing, really.
