So great to hear from you about the project. It is an amazing experience and I’d love to chat with you about your summer here and your production of Barrie’s Half an Hour. I have been reading Williams and discovered Inge also wrote some fine one-acts. Barker also wrote some one acts (not sure how many). Vote by Ballot is in Neil’s binder and he directed Rococo here as a lunchtime show. I want to find time to read some more full length plays while I’m here and Barker is at the top of that list.
Thanks for the suggestions and hope to see you here for a glass of wine this summer!
Krista

This was among the many highlights during my own summer at Shaw participating in the Directors’ Project.

It sounds like you both are covering all the bases. Michael, I had mentioned the Williams short plays to you a few weeks back. Have you read through all of Brecht’s short works? One of them continues to simmer on a rounded corner of my brainpan…
Ahh if Granville Barker had written short plays… Collaborating with an MD or composer and having music created for both of your shows is a tremendous idea!! I have to say,the gorgeous and evocative score for my show( composed by Ryan De Souza ) totally informed my entrance into the piece. An exciting and inspiring door opened for me, upon hearing it…keep on!
