This is very interesting subject matter! If people are interested, Carmen Aguirre’s newest play, The Tina Modotti Project, deals a little bit with this, as Tina Modotti knew La Pasionara very well, and worked with the Spanish to fight against the Franco dictatorship. This speech is mentioned in the play…

The play will be read on October 12, 2012 as part of the 2012 De Colores Festival of New Works….interested audiences can go to our website to purchase tickets:
http://www.alamedatheatre.com/decolores2012.html or they can call us at the office 416-652-5442.

(Sorry that was a shameless plug for Alameda, but I am truly interested in the project you are doing! Can’t wait to hear more about it! xoxo)

Marilo
