Buddies in Bad Times launches new blog, new artistic director
Okay, this week was supposed to be exclusively Indie Caucus related material only, but it’s not everyday that a genuine local indie director takes over a major theatre. It’s also not everyday that an important new theatre-related blog is launched. And well the two together…
So check it out: YYZ Buddies: The latest Buzz from inside Canada’s home for queer culture
Latest post: The new guy in charge of the joint!
This is probably the first time I have ever seen Toronto’s entire indie theatre community agree that something is a good thing. Its almost disorienting. (And encouraging.)
I brought my newly written play, JUST US AND RITA HAYWORTH to your theatre on June 2. I have not received a reply and hope that the play was read and of course, liked enough to be considered for a production at your theatre. My play, NICE GIRLS was produced in Manhattan and I have had three acting books published. Just Us and Rita Hawworth is about a straight young woman and a gay young man who come together in the middle of the night.
I look forward to a response. Thank you. Ginger Howard Friedman
Hey Ginger,
I think you want to contact Buddies and Bad Time Theatre directly. This is the site of and independent theatre company with a post reporting on local theatre news. Best of luck with your play!
